KCKCC Fieldhouse

KCKCC FIELD HOUSE - Breidenthal Court

It's one of the busiest facilities on the Kansas City Kansas Community College campus. The 2,200-seat Field House is not only the home of nationally-recognized Blue Devil basketball and volleyball teams, it is the focal point of numerous activities and events throughout the year.

Opened in 1972-73 when the College moved to its new campus in western Wyandotte County, the Field House is one of the largest in the Jayhawk Conference – and one of the most used. The court went under renovation in the Fall of 2023 and was completed in the Fall of 2025. The Breidenthal Court inside the KCKCC Fieldhouse features two video boards on the NE side of the court and SW side of the court.

All KCKCC graduations and some high school commencements are held there. The annual Wyandotte County Ethnic Festival is a fixture on the schedule each spring along with the Kansas-Missouri All-Star wrestling matching the best high school wrestlers from each side of the state line. In basketball season, it is the home court of Bishop Ward High School.

When Blue Devil teams are not in action, multiple volleyball and Tae Kwon Do tournaments and events for Young Champions fill the weekends – a new wood floor providing ample room for four volleyball courts.

Because of its size, the Field House also provides practice areas for Blue Devil baseball, softball, soccer and track teams as well as evening baseball and softball clinics.
