Hall of Fame Nomination

ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME

The Kansas City Kansas Community College Athletic Hall of Fame was established to recognize outstanding athletic alumni, coaches, teams and others who have made outstanding contributions to KCKCC Athletics.

 A. Committee:

1. The Hall of Fame committee will be made up of six members.
2. Three of the members will be from outside the athletic department.
3. The Athletic Director will select new members when one or more
4. members leave the committee.
5. The Committee will meet in February to discuss criteria and nominations. Again, in June to make final selections for induction in November for the induction of new members.

B. Criteria for Membership

1. Student-athletes who had distinguished careers at KCKCC and received conference, region or national awards and/or recognition; however, athletes, who distinguish themselves after leaving KCKCC may be given consideration as well.
2. Coaches that had distinguished coaching careers at KCKCC and received conference, region, or national awards and/or recognitions.
3. Teams, Individuals, or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the KCKCC athletic program.
4. Distinguished KCKCC athletic alumni who have made significant contributions in their athletic career or other life accomplishments.

2. Nominations:

1. All former athletes will be considered five years after completion of eligibility.
2. Coaches/Staff will be considered once they are no longer employed at KCKCC.
3. Each program may submit former participants for consideration to the Committee.
4. Nominations will go before the Hall of Fame committee for screening and final vote.
5. Two to six new members will be inducted into the Hall each year. (Two teams will not be inducted within the same year.)
6. *The Committee reserves the right to evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
