KCKCC narrowed the gap with a 33-point second half, but the Greyhounds maintained their lead by capitalizing on free throws, going 19-27 from the line. The game saw multiple lead changes, with the Blue Devils largest lead at three points early in the first half.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team fell to Fort Scott Community College 62-52 Saturday at Breidenthal Court. KCKCC forced 24 turnovers and scored 27 points off those opportunities but struggled with shooting, connecting on just 32.3% from the field. Fort Scott led by as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter and secured the win with a 32-29 rebounding advantage.

KCKCC forced 24 turnovers, converting them into 32 points, and secured a 54-30 advantage on the boards. The Blue Devils established a commanding 50-point lead with just under two minutes remaining in the game, aided by a robust 46 points in the paint. The Vikings struggled offensively, shooting just 18.9% from the field.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team fell to the No. 3 Johnson County Community College Cavaliers, 78-59 on Saturday at the JCCC Gymnasium. KCKCC led briefly in the first half by six points, but the Cavaliers responded with a strong performance, particularly from beyond the arc, where they shot 40%. The Blue Devil defense recorded 10 steals, contributing to 12 points off turnovers.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team fell to the No.1 Johnson County Community College Cavaliers, 103-51 on Saturday at the JCCC Gym. KCKCC struggled offensively, shooting just 31.3% from the field and 20% from beyond the arc. JCCC, maintaining their undefeated record, capitalized with a 60% field goal percentage and a dominant 46 points in the paint.
  • Turnovers Prove Costly in 63–58 Conference Opener Loss

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team fell to Allen County Community College 63-58 at Breidenthal Court. The Blue Devils led by eight early in the second half but were unable to maintain their advantage. Allen’s defense forced 17 turnovers, contributing to their comeback, while KCKCC was paced by 24 points in the paint.
  • No.15 Blue Devils Fall in Conference Opener

    The No.15 Kansas City Kansas Community College women’s basketball team fell in their conference opener to Allen Community College, 53-42, at Breidenthal Court. KCKCC struggled offensively, shooting 25.9% from the field and committing 15 turnovers. Despite forcing 23 turnovers and recording 12 steals, the Blue Devils were unable to overcome the Red Devils' 11-point lead established late in the fourth quarter.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team dominated Kansas Christian Varsity Reserve team with a decisive 125-35 victory at Breidenthal Court. The Blue Devils recorded 22 steals and 31 assists, contributing to a 94-point lead late in the second half. KCKCC capitalized on turnovers, scoring 48 points off the Falcons' 31 turnovers, while also tallying 78 points in the paint.

The Blue Devils set the tone early with efficient shooting and aggressive defense, building a 39–21 halftime lead and stretching the margin to as many as 25 points in the second half.

The Blue Devils controlled the game from start to finish, building a lead as large as 32 points in the third quarter while outworking the Blazers on the glass, 57–35, and holding them to just 25.5 percent shooting from the field.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team earned a statement road win Saturday night, edging No. 11 North Central Missouri College 74–70 in a tightly contested matchup. The Blue Devils built momentum early behind efficient perimeter shooting, connecting on 12-of-21 three-point attempts, and held off a late push from the Pirates with timely defensive plays, finishing with 10 steals. The victory served as a measure of redemption for KCKCC, which had previously fallen to the Pirates 82–75 earlier in the season at the KCKCC Hall of Fame Classic at Breidenthal Court.

    The No. 21 Kansas City Kansas Community College women’s basketball team rolled past Metropolitan Community College with a dominant 78–38 win, stretching the lead to 40 points in the fourth quarter. The Blue Devils shot 43.5% from beyond the arc, knocked down 10 threes and held a 47–42 edge on the glass. MCC finished just 9-of-61 from the field.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team narrowly defeated Western Iowa Tech 57-55 Dec. 8. The Blue Devils secured the win with a strong second half, outscoring the Comets 31-27 after trailing by two points at halftime. KCKCC capitalized on free throws, shooting 71.4% from the line, while Western Iowa Tech managed only 52.9%.

KCKCC dominated the game, leading by as many as 52 points in the second half. The home team shot 55.1% from the field, with their bench contributing 58 points. The Spires struggled offensively, shooting just 26.6% from the field and managing only 47 points overall.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College volleyball team opened its national tournament journey with one of the most thrilling matches of the week, outlasting No.13 Grand Rapids in a five-set battle to start their run. The Blue Devils took the opening set 25-21 behind early production from Trinaty Fansher and Veronica Rolando but Grand Rapids responded with a 25-20 second set to even the match. KCKCC regained control with a dominant 25-17 third-set performance, only for Grand Rapids to push back and force a decisive fifth. In the final frame, the Blue Devils remained composed and executed in key moments, pulling away late for a 15-12 victory and setting the tone for a strong tournament performance.
  • KCKCC Women Stay Hot from Deep in 75-65 Win Over North Arkansas

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College women’s basketball team defeated North Arkansas College, 75-65, behind 13 three-pointers and a 15-point third-quarter lead Nov. 11. The Blue Devils capitalized on their perimeter shooting, converting 13 of 30 attempts for a 43.3% success rate, while also forcing 19 turnovers that led to 14 points. North Arkansas made a late push with 20 points in the fourth quarter, but KCKCC’s bench contributed 36 points to help secure the win.

The Pioneers pulled away late, building a 33-point lead in the second half — their largest of the night. The Blue Devils forced 11 steals but struggled offensively, shooting just 28.4 percent from the field. North Arkansas capitalized, converting 52.5 percent of its attempts and scoring 40 points in the paint.

The Blue Devils displayed a strong serving performance with 12 aces, while their effective blocking contributed to a total of 10 team blocks. The Scotties struggled offensively, hitting just .073, as KCKCC controlled the match from start to finish.

KCKCC was led by a strong shooting performance, converting 60 percent from the field. Despite committing 18 turnovers, the team capitalized on their free throw opportunities, going 18-for-24. The win was secured in a tense final stretch, as the Manta Rays, who shot only 33.3 percent from the field, fell short despite a late push.
