  • Late Heroics Boost Blue Devils to Sweep
    April 11, 2025
    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team swept the Fort Scott Community College Greyhounds at the KCKCC baseball field with scores of 4-0 and 7-5 April 10. Both teams entered Thursday afternoon with a conference record of 7-9. With both wins, KCKCC is now in fourth place behind Cowley (18-4), Johnson County (18-4) and Coffeyville (13-9).

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team split with the Johnson County Community College Cavaliers with a game one win of 10-8 and game two loss of 9-1. After recording their first conference loss, the Blue Devils are now tied for second place with Cowley (9-1) and behind Neosho (10-0).

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team fell to the State Fair Community College Roadrunners 14-9 on April 8 at the KCKCC baseball field. The Blue Devils have now lost three in a row and 4-6 in their last 10 games.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds with scores of 12-0 and 8-1 April 8. With the sweep, the Blue Devils have now won 15 consecutive games with a big test coming up on Thursday as they take on Johnson County.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Allen County Community College Red Devils with scores of 7-2 and 8-7. The[KR1]  Blue Devils are currently on a 13-game win streak and are in first place in the KJCCC with a conference record of 8-0. Behind them is Neosho County (6-0), Cowley (5-1) and JCCC (5-1).
  • Blue Devils and Red Ravens Split Series

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team fell in both games to the Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens in Coffeyville, Kan with scores of 4-3 and 10-5. The games in Coffeyville were originally scheduled for April 5 but due to weather they were pushed back to April 7. The first two games were at KCKCC last week with the Blue Devils winning both but the roles switched Monday night as the Red Ravens took both games.
  • Softball Makes it 11 Straight

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Fort Scott Greyhounds with scores of 3-0 and 10-2 on Thursday, April 3. The Blue Devils are currently tied for first place in the conference with Neosho County Community College. Both teams are 6-0 in KJCCC play and aren’t set to face off against one another until April 17.
  • Baseball Allows One Run in Double Header Against Red Ravens

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team beat the Coffeyville Red Ravens in both games, 5-0 and 8-1, at the KCKCC baseball field. The Blue Devils are currently tied for fifth place with Fort Scott in the conference with a KJCCC record of 7-7. They will take on Fort Scott April 10 and 12.
  • Baseball Puts Up 28 Runs against Grizzlies

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team took down the Butler Community College Grizzlies with an outstanding score of 28-16 April 1 in El Dorado, Kan. The KCKCC Blue Devil baseball team has not put up that many runs since March 27, 2018 when they took down MCC with a score of 30-4.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team took down the Southwestern Community College Spartans with score of 7-0. Due to weather, the Blue Devils and Spartans were only able to play one game as they were scheduled for a double header.
  • Four Straight Sweeps for Softball

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Hesston College Larks with scores of 14-0 and 20-3. The Blue Devil offense was on fire as they recorded 34 hits in both games combined while putting up 34 total runs. After this sweep, the Blue Devils have now swept four teams in a row - Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Highland, Dakota County Technical College and now Hesston.
  • No.16 Cavaliers Take Series Against KCKCC

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team played Johnson County Community College four times this past weekend losing three of the four. The first two games were at the KCKCC baseball field as the Cavaliers won 5-3 and 9-3. The Blue Devils then took one game at JCCC as they fell in game one with a final score of 8-7 and won in game two, 5-4. In all four games, KCKCC was leading at some point but let the Cavaliers come back into the game.
  • Fisher Gets a ‘No-No’ Against Dakota County

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Dakota County Technical College Blue Knights with scores of 10-2 and 13-0. In the second game, Lillian Fisher had her first start of the year and completed a no-hitter in her five innings of work. She struck out four Blue Knight batters and walked two while not allowing a single hit or run in the 13-0 win.
  • Softball Opens Up Conference Play with Sweep

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Highland Community College Scotties with scores of 8-0 and 14-6. Both games ended early due to the 8-run mercy rule. On the day, Sidney Sullivan recorded eight RBIs, three homeruns and a double.
  • Blue Devil Baseball Takes Down DII Ranked Opponent

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team beat the Division II No.25 North Central Missouri College Pirates 10-8 March 25 in Trenton, Mo. The Pirates entered the game with an impressive 17-4 record while the Blue Devils came in with an overall record of 16-10. The top half of the order had quite the day offensively as the first four batters recorded nine of the 13 Blue Devil hits.
  • Strong Defense Aids Blue Devils to a Norsemen Sweep

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Division I Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Golden Norsemen with scores of 2-0 and 5-3. In both games combined, the Blue Devil pitching staff allowed just seven hits, three runs and walked one. KCKCC now holds an overall record of 14-10 on the season.  
  • Ross Gets 200th Win at KCKCC in Sweep over MCC

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team swept the Metropolitan Community College Wolves as they won game one 3-1 and game two 11-3. With those results, head coach, Lana Ross, got her 200th win as the Blue Devil leader. Ross led her 2021-22 season to a District Championship while receiving the 2021-22 District Coach of the Year award.
  • Blue Devil Softball Receives Third Sweep of the Season

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team got swept by the Iowa Central Community College Tritons with scores of 7-1 and 7-2. The KCKCC softball team has now gotten swept by McCook (DI), North Iowa Area and Iowa Central. 
  • Dierks Streak Continues in Split Series Against Neosho

    For the second time in three days, the Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team split against the Neosho County Community College Panthers, but this time at the KCKCC baseball field Saturday. Marcus Dierks added four hits and three RBIs in the series against Neosho, giving him at least one hit in eight consecutive games.

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team split against the Neosho County Community College Panthers in Chanute, Kan. Despite both teams getting just five hits each, the Panthers were able to outscore the Blue Devils with a big 6-run inning in the bottom of the sixth.
  • Men’s Basketball Season Comes to an End in Danville

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team fell to the 11th seeded Johnson County Community College Cavaliers with a final score of 90-63. This was the fourth time the Blue Devils came across conference foe, JCCC. The first two meetings fell the Cavaliers way, and then the Blue Devils got revenge and punched their ticket to the NJCAA National Tournament with a Region VI win over JCCC. It was the Cavaliers who got the best of KCKCC the fourth and final time this season as they shot more than 55% from the floor. JCCC point guard, Stephen Samuels, finished the day with a career-high 35 points while shooting 14-19 from the floor.
  • Men’s Basketball Falls in Second Round to Kirkwood

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team fell in the second round of the double elimination NJCAA Championship Tournament to the 3-seeded Kirkwood Eagles. It was a tight game in the opening minutes, and the Blue Devils were able to build up a seven-point lead with 13 minutes remaining in the first half. The Eagles scorched the Blue Devils in bench points, 38 to 8. The second half did not go KCKCC’s way as the Kirkwood height and athleticism became too much for Brandon Burgette and his players. With the 73-55 loss, the Blue Devils are facing elimination and will now prepare to take on conference rival, 11th-seeded Johnson County Community College, who is also in a must-win situation.
  • Nolen IV Adds Five Hits in Win Over Wolves

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team took down the Metropolitan Community College Wolves, 14-9 on March 19 at the Maple Woods Complex in Kansas City, Mo. Freddie Nolen IV had a career-high five hits in his six plate appearances as he scored three of those five times he got on base and knocked in one RBI.
  • Blue Devils Split with Division I Jefferson College

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team split against the Jefferson College Vikings with a game 1 loss, 5-2 and game two win, 4-1. With those results, the Blue Devils are now 10-8 on the season. They have played three Division I colleges and three Division II ranked teams, totaling for five games. (No.14 North Iowa Area x3, No.12 Kirkwood x2)
  • Men’s Basketball Gets First National Tournament Win in Program History

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team took down nineteenth seeded Raritan Valley to record their first ever National Tournament win in KCKCC men’s basketball history. The Golden Lions started off hot, building up a lead of 11-2 in the first two minutes and thirty seconds of the game. It didn’t take long for KCKCC to climb back into things as they were up 48-40 at the half up.
  • Softball Splits with Wildcats

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team split against the North Dakota State College of Science Wildcats with scores of 4-2 and 6-11. After the first two full weeks of the regular season, the top four highest batting averages are coming from freshman - Ashton Russell (.400), Kaitlyn Cowan (.393), Sidney Sullivan (.375) and Abryelle Hill (.370).
  • 28 Blue Devil Runs Good Enough for Split

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College baseball team split against the St. Charles Community College Cougars in O’Fallon, Mo. The Blue Devils put up 14 runs in both game 1 and game 2. The Blue Devils let up just four runs in the first game, but then allowed the Cougars to score 19 runs in game two.
  • Blue Devils Host Successful Triangular
    March 11, 2025
    The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team hosted a Triangular March 7-9, which included teams from North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), Bryant and Stratton College (WI) and Kirkwood Community College. On Friday, the Blue Devils fell to NIACC 8-6, but took down Bryant and Stratton 4-3 from a nine-inning walk off base hit from Sidney Sullivan. On Saturday, No. 9 Kirkwood mercy ruled the Blue Devils 8-0. In game two of the day, KCKCC turned it around and mercy ruled Bryant and Stratton 8-0. On the final day of the KCKCC Triangular, the Blue Devils swept the day, beating Bryant and Stratton 5-2 and No. 9 Kirkwood 7-1. The KCKCC softball team went 4-2 on the weekend, ending the weekend with three straight wins.
  • Men's Basketball Punches Their Ticket to Danville

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team was set to take on three-seeded Highland Community College for the 2025 DII Men's Basketball Region VI semifinal game. The two other teams remaining were the first-seeded Johnson County Community College Cavaliers and fourth-seeded Allen Community College. Both higher seeded teams won their semifinal matchup and it was a top two seeded showdown to punch their ticket to Danville, IL for the NJCAA Postseason Tournament. The Blue Devils would end up squeaking by the Cavaliers in the final by a single point and will represent the Plains District in Danville, IL.
  • Men’s Basketball to Region VI Semifinal

    The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team took down the (7) Neosho County Community College Panthers, 92-56 Mar. 3 at MCC-Penn Valley in Kansas City, Mo. The 2024-25 Region VI DII Men’s Basketball Tournament didn’t have any upsets occur in the opening round as every higher seed dealt with their opponent fairly easily besides the (4) Allen Red Devils just sneaking by the (5) Hesston Larks with a final score of 84-81.
