
PARSONS, Kan. - The No. 20 KCKCC volleyball team was able to complete a 3-0 sweep over Labette CC on the road Monday night that started with a sprint. The Blue Devils took the first set 25-7 before hanging on in the second 28-26 and finishing off the third set with a 25-12 win. KCKCC improves to 12-3 overall on the season and 2-2 in conference play.
KCKCC added 13 kills in two of the three sets played and hit a game-high .600 in the first set.
After taking the first frame 25-7, the Blue Devils and Cardinals battled to extra points in the second set. KCKCC would manage to hold on and take it 28-26 before rising to the occasion in the third set to sprint to a 25-12 win.
Naomi Jemison added a team high 13 kills and Taryn Dial had 34 assists. Emma Ayers recorded 19 digs and Gracey Lovgren had two total blocks.
KCKCC is back in action on Wednesday night in Hesston, Kan. to face the Larks at 6:30 p.m.
