Blue Devils Fall Behind Early, Slip 6-3 To Cloud County CC

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The No. 14 KCKCC baseball team was unable to mount a comeback against Cloud County CC on Tuesday as they fell 6-3 at home. 

The Blue Devils are now 43-8 overall and 24-4 in the KJCCC.

KCKCC fell victim to a 3-0 deficit after the first three innings of play. Cloud County held the Blue Devils to one hit for much of the game, while adding another run in the fifth frame. The Blue Devils were able to get on the board in the sixth with one run, but faced an uphill battle in the ninth inning trailing 6-1. KCKCC was able to get some men on base and scored two runs in the inning, but it was not enough in the end.

Cole Dawson picked up three hits in the game. Parker Bosserman also added two hits - a double and a triple. Hunter Cashero took the loss on the mound throwing one inning and striking out one batter.

The Blue Devils are back in action on Thursday when they play at No. 7 Cowley County CC at 1 p.m.
