Blue Devils Ease Past Labette 81-68 For Seventh KJCCC Win

PARSONS, Kan. - The Kansas City Kansas Community College used a big first half on their way to an 81-68 win over Labette Community College Monday night on the road. It was the team's seventh KJCCC win as they stand at 16-7 overall and 7-1 in the KJCCC. The Blue Devils are also receiving votes in the most recent NJCAA Men's Basketball Top 20 Poll.

The Blue Devils punctured the Cardinals for a 15-point lead after one half of play, leading 41-26. Labette would outscore the Blue Devils in the second half, but the lead was too much for the Cardinals to overcome. The Blue Devils put up another 40 spot in the final half of play on their way to the win.

Five Blue Devils scored in double-figures led by Shayon Janloo's 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting. Caleb Jones added a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Bryce Johnson and Joshua Butler each had 11 points.

Bradley Lightbourne added 10 points and four rebounds on the night.

KCKCC will hit the court again on Wednesday when they welcome Hesston College to the KCKCC Fieldhouse at 7:30 p.m.
