Men's Basketball's Lightbourne Named KJCCC DII Player of the Week

BALDWIN, Kan. – KCKCC men's basketball player Bradley Lightbourne has been named the KJCCC DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Lightbourne led the Blue Devils to a 1-1 record last week, while leading the team in scoring in both contests.

The team earned a 12-point win over their cross-town rival Johnson County Saturday where Lightbourne posted his fifth double-double of the season - scoring 32 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Nassau, Bahamas native has been a bright spot for the team, averaging a team-high 19.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Other nominees this week were - Keryn Collins of Fort Scott, David Duncan of Hesston and Tymer Jackson of JCCC.

The Blue Devils return to action on Wednesday when they play at Labette in Parsons, Kan. at 7:30 p.m.
