Men's Basketball Ambushes Hesston, 97-73

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The KCKCC men's basketball team ambushed Hesston College Saturday afternoon as they routed the Larks 97-73 inside the KCKCC Fieldhouse.

The Blue Devils are now 11-8 overall and 2-1 in the KJCCC.

The Blue Devils blitzed the Larks early, scoring 17 of the first 20 points. Hesston cut the deficit to four at 29-25 with 7:41 to play before grabbing a lead at 35-33 to get back in the game. The Blue Devils offense continued to strike as they went up 48-37 at halftime.

Midway through the second half, Bradley Lightbourne and Jaylon Moses scored four straight points giving the team a 69-50 lead. Hesston chipped away at the lead slightly in the half, but the Blue Devils margin was too large to overcome.

Lightbourne scored a game-high 25 points and Jalen Broyles added 18.

KCKCC is back in action on Wednesday when they host Highland CC at 7:30 p.m.
