KANSAS CITY, Kan. – KCKCC men's basketball coach Brandon Burgette has been selected as the HoopDirt.com JUCO Coach of the Week, which was announced on Monday.

Burgette guided the Blue Devils to a 2-0 record last week with wins over No. 19 Allen County and Fort Scott. KCKCC defeated the Red Devils 66-63 on Wednesday, and the Greyhounds 91-76 on Saturday, to stretch their winning streak to five games.

"Blessed to be acknowledged," Burgette said. "All the praise goes to our guys and my assistant Brandon (Gossett) and how hard they work. This isn't possible without what they do day in and day out. They work their tails off every week, and it's been showing on the floor. Every night we have multiple guys step up and lead us, so it's been great."

The Blue Devils now sit tied atop the KJCCC standings with Allen, as both have 6-1 records in conference play. KCKCC is 15-8 overall.
