Men's Basketball Suffers Setback, 91-79

HESSTON, Kan. – The KCKCC men's basketball team suffered a setback on the road Wednesday night, falling to Hesston College 91-79. After leading at halftime, the Blue Devils were outscored 61-42 in the second half.

The Blue Devils are 16-10 overall and 7-3 in the KJCCC.

Both teams were tied 13-13 five minutes into the game. After a free throw from Hesston, Gary Bess Jr. nailed two straight three-point jumpers making it 19-14 KCKCC. Hesston climbed back and tied it, but a small run for the Blue Devils helped them to a 37-30 halftime lead.

The Larks came back and tied the game at 44-44 early in the second half. Jalen Broyles later hit a three-point shot to put the team within one point, but Hesston went on a 13-4 run to separate themselves. KCKCC chipped away putting the deficit into single digits multiple times, but the Larks had an answer for every punch the Blue Devils threw.
