Killingsworth Leads Golf To 8th Place Finish At Columbia Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Josh Killingsworth was the top individual for the KCKCC men's golf team, taking 16th place at the Columbia College Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The squad placed eighth overall out of 11 teams with a score of 604. The tournament was made up of nine NAIA institutions and a DII school along with the Blue Devils, serving as the lone junior college.

The Blue Devils shot a 304 on Monday before improving by four strokes on Tuesday to shoot a 300, totaling a 36-over par all together.

Killingsworth shot a 5-over par for the tournament along with four other individuals in the field. Nate Saporito and Parker Vancampen finished in the top 30 with scores of 8-over and 10-over par, respectively. Jack Stuckey finished with a 13-over par in 38th place, while Turner Depperschmidt and Josiah Morris each scored a 17-over par to take 46th place. 

Columbia was the tournament champion scoring a 7-under par, while boasting the top three individual placements. 

KCKCC returns to action Oct. 10-11 when they travel to Parkville, Mo. to compete at the Park University Tournament.
