Men's Soccer Upsets No. 11 JCCC, 1-0

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The KCKCC had been searching for a win for quite some time this season to break their long losing streak. On Wednesday, that instance occurred as the Blue Devils traveled to No. 10 JCCC to upset the Cavaliers on their turf, 1-0.

KCKCC is now 2-9 overall and 1-8 in the KJCCC.

Both teams went scoreless in the first 43 minutes of play. But when the 44th minute came around, the Blue Devils struck for gold when Henrique Sant'Anna Zachello dumped off a pass to Julien DeAngelis for the goal.

KCKCC's defense shut down JCCC in the match as well, turning away all of the team's eight shots as the Cavaliers struggled to find the net.

Goalkeeper Jean Nzambi made six saves in goal for the Blue Devils and now has 33 on the season.

The Blue Devils will try to keep the momentum going next Wednesday, Oct. 19 as they host Coffeyville CC for their final home game of the season. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
