KCKCC Lady Blue Devils move to 24-2 On The Season

Nationally Ranked #4 Lady Blue Devils added another win to their season on Wednesday defeating Hesston 86-64.  Hesston never really went away in the second half with the Blue Devils only outscoring them by 5.  "Hesston plays hard all of the time.  You really have to respect how well Coach Harrison does in getting them to just compete from start to finish," said Head Coach Valerie Stambersky.

The Lady Blue Devils were lead in scoring by Cheyenne North who had 17 points, 7 boards and 6 blocks.  Janai Mitchell had 12 points while shooting 100% from the free throw line.  "We have struggled from the free throw line all season.  Janai has been our most consistent free throw shooter.  It was nice to see us shoot 70% from the charity stripe as a team tonight," said Stambersky.  Cierra Gaines and Iland Shurn each had 12 and 10 points respectively.

The Blue Devils are on the road for the next two region games when they head to Brown Mackie on Saturday, February 14th at 1:00 and to Highland on Wednesday, February 18th at 5:00.  They will be back at home on Saturday, February 21st at 2:00 when they play host to conference foe Allen County.
