Women's Basketball Falls To Neosho, 61-54

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The KCKCC women's basketball team nearly came out with a win over Neosho County Wednesday night inside the KCKCC Fieldhouse. The Blue Devils fell 61-54 to the Panthers.

KCKCC is now 17-11 and 6-6 in the KJCCC.

The Blue Devils put up 13 points in the first quarter, capped off by a three-point basket by Laura Ribo-Gillamat. Neosho fought back and ended up taking a 31-26 lead at halftime and would keep their lead for the majority of the second half.

Lacy Whitcomb and Jennifer Guilbeaux each made baskets to cut the deficit to six at one point. But the Panthers survived the scare and held on.

Miaya Ware led the team with 17 points and Victoria Jones had 11.

KCKCC is back in action on Saturday when they host Allen County at 1 p.m.
