Women's Soccer Shuts Out Dodge City CC, 4-0

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The KCKCC women's soccer team rebounded from a short losing streak with a 4-0 shutout over Dodge City CC at home on Saturday. The Blue Devils offense made crisp passes throughout the match on their way to the easy win and now stands at 4-4-1 overall and 3-4 in the KJCCC.

KCKCC managed to tear apart the Conquistador defense - maintaining possession through most of the game. In the first 10 minutes, the Blue Devils took a 1-0 lead when Jordan Bedard received a pass from Mia Hurt and struck it inside the net. The team took a 1-0 lead at halftime before scoring nine minutes into the next period. Viola Bischoff and Bedard connected for a one-touch pass to send the ball to Cordilia Payne for the match's second goal.

Hurt and Jana Richter would score the final two goals of the game for the Blue Devils, coming at the 81st and 86th-minute marks respectively.

Richter took a team high six shots in the game, while Hurt and Bedard tied for two assists. Karli Angle made five saves in goal.

KCKCC returns to the field on Oct. 2 as they travel to Garden City CC for a game at 11 a.m.
