Women's Soccer Unable To Keep Up With Cougars

GREAT BEND, Kan. - The KCKCC women's soccer team fell behind early to Barton CC, 2-0 in the Region VI District Playoffs and eventually lost 4-2 on the road Saturday afternoon. 

The Blue Devils season ends with a 5-9-2 overall record.

Barton would score two goals in the 18th and 25th minutes to gain the early advantage. Cordilia Payne added a goal for the Blue Devils one minute later, after getting a pass from Jordan Bedard. But Barton scored another two straight goals in the second half to lead 4-1 before Bedard added the final goal for KCKCC in the 90th minute. 

Four different Blue Devils took one shot each in the game, while goalkeeper Karli Angle made 12 saves.
