
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The KCKCC Volleyball team has risen to No. 17 in the latest NJCAA Volleyball Top 20 Poll, the national office announced on Monday. The Blue Devils are 15-3 and receiving 28 total points in the poll.
KCKCC recently swept their Saturday slate with a pair of wins over North Platte CC and Ottawa University JV, by scores of 3-1 and 3-0. Naomi Jemison led the team with 21 total kills between the two matches, while Taryn Dial had 77 assists and Emma Ayers recorded 41 digs. Nicole Hughes also had three total blocks on the day.
The Blue Devils have won nine of their last 10 matches and sit in third place in the KJCCC behind No. 1 Johnson County CC and No. 2 Cowley County CC. They are the only three teams out of the KJCCC that are ranked in the poll.
KCKCC returns to action on Wednesday with a tri-match at home against Park University JV and the Braves' JV squad at 4 and 8 p.m.
