The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's volleyball team (4-2) swept the Neosho County Community College Panthers Sep. 4 at JCCC in Overland Park, Kan. The Blue Devils won the first three sets 25-10, 25-20 and 25-18. With this sweep, it now marks the third on the season.
Mercedez Brown went for a solid 13 kills from her 22 total attempts and finished with a .500 kill percentage - her best so far this season. She also led the team in digs with 10. Tatianna Murray was behind Brown with seven kills from her 15 total attempts. Veronica Rolando had a team high 19 assists with Briazia Osborne just behind her with 16. Nykeriah Allen had three blocks, and Murray, Geme Ajekwu and Brown all had two blocks.
The next match for the Blue Devils volleyball team is against Rochester Community and Technical College at 3:15 p.m. and Iowa Central Community College at 6:45 p.m. Sep. 6 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
