INDEPENDENCE, Kan. - The KCKCC volleyball team defeated Independence CC Wednesday night in a 3-0 sweep to earn their second straight win. The Blue Devils stand at 20-9 overall and are 5-3 in conference play.

The Blue Devils have had a rough stretch of October falling in five of their last eight matches, but the win over the Pirates helped the team get back on the winning trend.

KCKCC sits in fourth place in the KJCCC East Division standings tied with Neosho CC, but the Panthers have the tiebreaker as they defeated KCKCC on Oct. 12, 3-1.

The Blue Devils are back in action tomorrow when they host Ottawa JV and University of Saint Mary JV at 4/8 p.m. inside the KCKCC Fieldhouse.
